If you follow fashion events in Second Life, then you’re probably aware that the next HUGE event coming up is Vintage Fair! I am incredibly excited for this. I really enjoy vintage looks, and I am looking forward to seeing what creators come up with to transport us back to the fashion of days gone by! Just browsing through the previews and ads in the CHIC Management Flickr Group makes me all giddy. Vintage Fair will run from August 3rd until the 29th.
I was fortunate to snag a preview of this ADORABLE Gogo Dress by Cracked Mirror. Paired with some killer boots and this FAAAAAABULOUS Clawtooth hair, I feel like I should be out dancing.

Alright, so this is a great low lag outfit to wear to hair fair tomorrow, ok? Fri.day and Surf Couture both released system clothing for FLF. I know, I know, it’s not mesh… BUT they’re still REALLLY cute.
SO, ready to talk about Hair Fair stuff? I grabbed about 150 demos today and I’m waiting for a feeeeew more designers to set up their booths *ahem* so I can give them the rest of my money. Wanna see some of the pretty hairs I ended up with today??

I realize I’m writing like a hyper child on caffeine and chocolate right now, but it’s just because I’m really very very excited, and I really really hope you are, too. SO, go buy pretty things at FLF (previews of all available items here) and then slap on your least laggy outfit and head to Hair Fair tomorrow! A crafty blogger even posted a list of every SLURL for every booth at Hair Fair. I can’t promise you won’t get redirected to the main gates when you tp in, but at least you can plug the SLURL in the map and get a beacon and follow it to your favorite store’s booth.

Ok, you guys, let the countdown begin. HAIR FAIR IS ALMOST HERE!!
Needless to say, I am beside myself with excitement. If there’s one thing I buy more of than anything else in Second Life, it’s HAIR. I have more hair than I know what to do with. I actually considered taking photos of myself wearing every hair I own and making some sort of collage for this post. I considered it, then remembered that I am not a masochist.
I love how different hairs in SL convey different things. There are wild hairs, sleek hairs, fancy updos, playful pigtails, beautiful braids, funny looks, retro locks, short hair, long hair… and new wonderful styles come out all of the time. And ever since the rise in mesh hair… I am pretty much constantly broke. What would SL be without the amazing hair creators? Remember system hair? Do not want.
On top of being a great place to spend all your $L on new hairs, Hair Fair is also a charitable event. 15% of all profits from all sales at Hair Fair will be donated to Wigs for Kids. So, not only will you look fabulous after shopping at Hair Fair, you will also feel fabulous, knowing you’ve helped a child feel and look more like themselves.
So, instead of making a collage for all my hairs, I made a smaller collage with a few hairs I really love. I could have done multiple per creator, but I stuck to just one per. I didn’t want to make a GIANT photo, so I just chose 9 from the designers whose hairs I buy most often, or whose hairs I feel look best on my av. It really is amazing how changing only your hair can change your whole look!
OOh! I almost forgot! Take this link, group secondlife:///app/group/2e30d166-f3e5-e2de-ff72-b3da2d06ded2/about and post it in local chat and JOIN THIS GROUP. It is the demo group for Hair Fair. The designers will actually be sending out hair demos so you can try them on ahead of time. How awesome is that!?

May Collabor88 is open, and there is so much awesome stuff this month!! Clawtooth has TWO mesh hairs out and they are AMAZING! At 188L per color pack, they’re quite a steal. I got the one called Glamazon. I also grabbed these shoes from ur.favorite.one and this top from The Sea Hole. As always, there is great furniture, more hairs, some poses and all sorts of other adorable clothes. Go see what great goodies YOU can find!

April Collabor88 is here!! Everything has a French theme, and it’s all SO cute! There is some really great furniture, tons of great clothes, skins… I wanted it ALL! The theme just inspires such adorable things. I contained myself, though. This girl’s got a budget! I snagged this great hair from Clawtooth (the beret is part of it!) and this Nylon Outfitters dress, along with these bangles from The Sea Hole.
Once my wallet cried for mercy, I took a walk in Paris 1900. What a cool sim! I’ll give you trois guesses what it’s modeled after! I think it’d be a great place to go for a date night or just to explore with some friends. You really have to go there and see it for yourself.
