This top is mesh, and I was shocked that it didn’t come with an alpha layer, but it fits so well, I didn’t need an alpha! I really like the sheer bottom part. It adds some sexy to this cute halter. The pants are also a really nice fit. There’s a little ass cleavage in the back, and they ride low on the hips. They’re very casual and also sort of sexy. This whole look can move seamlessly from rockin beach party to late night stroll along the waves to private cabana. There are three different color options in both the top and capris, so definitely go check them out.

It’s a new month, and you know what that means! All of the awesome monthly events start over! This month’s FaMESHed is super fun and summery! fri.day mesh!

You know what store I really like? fri.day. In the days before mesh, I shopped at fri.day ALL OF THE TIME. They have everything you’d ever need for a basic, classy, cute wardrobe- sweaters, tshirts, camis, jeans, shoes, cute little dresses and rompers, accessories… they even have hairs and poses! One of the things I always LOVED about fri.day was that every item, whether system clothes or prims- every single item of clothing- has a demo. I wish every store in SL would take the time to do this. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve bought something and put it on and never worn it because there is something funky about it you couldn’t see in the ad photo. In cases like that, I usually don’t go back to that store ever for fear of wasting more $L on stuff that won’t work out. fri.day has retained my loyal patronage because of their quality items and their DEMOS. I have tried on lots of their stuff, bought some, not bought others… but I know I can always trust that what I do buy will fit just right and look great because I could try it on first!

Ok, so anyways, ever since mesh arrived on the scene I have been waiting and wondering when fri.day will jump aboard the mesh train. I still wear a lot of system and primmy clothes, but mesh has definitely taken over my wardrobe in a big way. For a little while, I was afraid fri.day might not get into mesh and just fade away. Thankfully, this is not the case. fri.day has recently come out with a few mesh items and I cannot wait to see more! You can check out the fri.day blog for more news and information. I am so excited that an old favorite is keeping up with the changes in SL and bound to become a new favorite all over again!

.evolve. for TOSL 2nd Birthday Hunt

I really like this cute bag from .evolve., and it’s one of the fabulous hunt gifts for the TOSL 2nd Birthday. It’s mesh, and comes in a rigged and non-rigged version. It also includes an animation that moves your hand onto the strap. I don’t usually carry bags in SL (I don’t even like to carry them in RL much) but for those of you who like the look of a bag to accessorize and outfit- this is definitely a good one.

Taste of Second Life 2nd Birthday Hunt!

Have you ever heard of Taste of Second Life? It’s a weekly event where a group of designers put an item out at their store for half price for one weekend. These are some really awesome designers and the deals are fantastic- no item is priced over 250L! Please take a moment to check out the TOSL Blog or visit the TOSL center and learn a bit more.

Ok, all read up? Now- TOSL is almost two years old. This means a BIRTHDAY PARTYYY!! YAY! This year, like last, they are having a hunt to celebrate. You can see the list of participating designers here. As you may have noticed, there are some pretty awesome stores! The hunt is running from June 15 through July 15. That means you and all of your friends and relatives and acquaintances and enemies and … everyone you’ve ever bumped into at a safe hub have plenty of time to hunt and pick up every single high quality item! Wanna see a couple of things you may find during your travels?

Now, this dress from Sleeping Koala isn’t my usual style, but the mesh fits SO WELL. Paired with this cute little scarf from Izzie’s, it’s a fun look. I feel like I should be in the country somewhere. Where are my cowboy boots? Oh, well. Bare feet in the country never hurt anyone, right? Sn@tch at CHIC²

Hey guys! Look at this fun bathing suit I grabbed from Sn@tch at CHIC²! I am a big fan of the vintage look, and the prim bows just take it to a whole new level of cute! There are a bunch of fab colors available. This great hair from The Alice Project went just right with the look! Her styles are so different than other designers, and really well done.

I played around with dodge and burn for the first time on this photo. I found a tutorial here on how to use dodge and burn without damaging the original photo. I’m definitely not a master at this technique by any means, but it’s fun to see the additional depth that can be added. I will keep playing around with it and hopefully getting better!
