Hi! Ok, so I wrote a DOF (depth of field) tutorial a while back, and one thing I have heard is that some people just don’t have graphics cards that can handle DOF. If this is the case for you, fear not! You can add depth to your photos by using Photoshop. It’s actually really easy and there are tons of ways to accomplish this effect. I am going to show you one of these ways. Stay tuned for other techniques in future posts, and feel free to share your own!

First off, I realize that this look is almost identical to yesterday’s look. I’m ok with that. Something I do in SL too much is wear things for a blog post then get something else new and something else new and I forget to go back to the things in my wardrobe that I really love. I end up with an inventory full of beautiful things I’ve only worn once.
Secondly, this is less of a, “Hey look what I have,” post and more of a sharing post. I like this photo. I like this look. I am feeling a certain way today and I just want to share it with you. Below this photo, I am going to link a spoken word poem. This poem is quoted in my profile inworld. It makes me cry on occasion. It makes me smile. I want to share it and this photo with you. If this is not your thing, you don’t like poetry, you don’t like sharing, you’re not a feely, mooshy person.. then take comfort in knowing I am not switching to doing this all of the time. I’m just in a mood today. Indulge me.

Every week, I check Seraphim’s Fifty Linden Friday post. This week, I decided to stay conservative and just choose one of the lovely offerings to highlight. I really like this cute bag from .evolve., and it’s one of the fabulous hunt gifts for the TOSL 2nd Birthday. It’s mesh, and comes in a rigged and non-rigged version. It also includes an animation that moves your hand onto the strap. I don’t usually carry bags in SL (I don’t even like to carry them in RL much) but for those of you who like the look of a bag to accessorize and outfit- this is definitely a good one.

Ok, well, since you can’t follow simple instructions… I will tell you more. FaMESHed is a new monthly event (think- Collabor88, TDR, etc…) but this one focuses completely on mesh items. It is organized by Cracked Mirror and Vanity Mirror of the store Cracked Mirror. They have rounded up some fabulous designers to participate (Mon Tissu, Celoe, The Loft, Trompe Loeil, Pixel Mode, Geometry, Cracked Mirror, House of London/Pink Outfitters, Wasabi Pills, HANDverk, Aura, GOS, Valentina, Exile, Alice Project, NYU, Gossamer, Starstruck, Eclectic Apparel & Kauna) and I KNOW that this even will keep getting better and better. Ever since I first stumbled upon The Pixel Bean about 2 years ago, it has been one of my very FAVORITE places in SL. The build and location have changed over the years, but the wonderful people and general cuteness have stayed the same. So, I couldn’t think of a better place to have a camp out with some friends and try these fun new poses from Love Me Brutal! These poses are all Pose Fair Exclusives and will be available only at Pose Fair 2012 from April 15-30. There will, however, be demos available at Love Me Brutal’s mainstore in case you have issues with lag at the event.
